If any of you buggers have the need for a really neato kampin experience; you need to get your asses to Kouchibouguac National Park
This place is so kick ass and so close to Miramichi - Only a 40 minute drive-0! At Kooch'you can rent kayaks, canoes, bikes and there's tons of camp sites (312!). If you have your own bike or boat, all the better; there's tons of water and miles and miles of bike/walking trails.
The nature of it all is pretty cool too, it's actually the main reason I like to hit it up. This weekend I was lucky enough to watch a pair of Osprey's do some fishing at the saltwater marsh. They seemed to be hundred's of feet up when they dove like an arrow right into the water, bringing up big ol'fishies.
Enough chat, check out the pics!
One of the Osprey doing some fishin
Me doin some munchin
great trails all through the park, miles and miles worth!
Cat-tails (AKA - Hamster's on sticks)
Wildlife!
Mushrooms on trees! YUM!
On of the many gannats getting up close and personal, like the osprey they too were diving into the water for fish; very cool to watch!
The woods are as thick as the flys.
