DAVID ICHIOKA VISITS FATKAT!

Wow, this year so far has been just a string of cool parties featuring guest clients from all over the globe! Cookie Jar, The Grillo Brothers, Dacapo Productions and now the amazingly talented David Ichioka - The producer on Mondo Media's Happy Tree Friends!



David came down to talk shop and to party like no one's business! This guy is a class act and can dish it as well as take it. I was mighty impressed by his throwing arm as he initiated a food fight in the Sevogle room at the Rodd!

DACAPO VISITS FATKAT | DAY 02

As I sit and type this, our Fatkat pals from Dacapo production are on a plane back to Winnepeg. I'm sitting to type this not because people usually type while standing, but because I don't think I could get up if I wanted to. Man am I ever sore.

Olaf from Dacapo is a bit of a runner, and Friday night at Dinner, he proposed that we go for a light run Saturday morning. I agreed hesitently; but took it on and Saturday morning at 8:30 I knocked on his hotel room door. He was suprisingly naked from the top down, but that's another story that only he can explain. :o)

To make a long story short, I performed two "firsts" for me on Saturday. A) - I ran 1o km without a break with Olaf cheering me on. B) During breakfast shortly after I downed an entire brunch menu.

Then we were off to Gwen & Nevey's Chilli Cook-Off! Enough type, here's some pics!

Steve's Madness chili is by far the hottest chili I've ever tasted, it was clearly over the hotness line. MADNESS!

Gwen's Chili was...gone! - - Great Veggie Chili!

Jon's Chili also took a beating. Not much left!

The winning Chili by Clint at Dacapo had a sweet blend of baked beans, molasses and veggies. The winning chili recieved the "shocker" from Elder...

... Clint declined the shocker but accepted the 1st prize of a coolio chili cook book.

Great having the Dacapo guys down, we look forward to working with them for a very long time!

DACAPO VISITS FATKAT | DAY 01

Our good pals at Dacapo Productions finally took a trip out to Miramichi to visit us here at Fatkat! - These guys are top notch I tell you, they've treated us so well and I highly recommend giving them a call for any of your sfx, voice work or original music needs.

So again as you know when guests come to visit Fatkat we treat them with fine fashion, take them snowboarding, salmon fishing or rent a boat and spend the day out on the river. Well this time I think we've outdone ourselves! - This time we asked Clint and Olaf if they'd like to join us for some french lessons!

Alot of us are taking French and Spanish Lessons, what a better way for our pals to start off their visit to Fatkat!

Yeah, Olaf was having a blast! Just look at him!


We made up for it though by taking treating them to a seafood dinner!

Olaf ate this entire tray and half of the waiter's uniform.

Some of our guests were acting like kids! - How immateur!

Then we all went to Mega and Jimmy's place for yet another theme party! - This time around the theme was movie based:
The Life Aquatic!

We invited that old man into the party and took pictures of his chicken legs..


Red caps, glocks on the leg, gym pants and turtle necks. YES!


Even Brie joined in, dying her hair colour to match the theme.

Olaf and Drew talked about music. Like these guys would know anything about that!

No that's not smoke from reefer or cigarrets, that's Steve Pitre's smoke machine, who brings a smoke machine and a strobe light to The Life Aquatic party? - Well, I already told you, go back and read the last sentence. :o)

Tomorrow I awake early and attempt a 10 mile run with Olaf, goalies aren't built for running Olaf. But I'm up for the challenge! - More pictures tomorrow as we have the first Fatkat Chili Cook Off over at Gwen and Neven's Place!
